Toms story: Crown Gas and Power

Tom Corcoran, our Assistant Accountant from Bury,  joined the Crown Group as an apprentice in 2013 at the age of 16. He started as a Purchase Ledger Clerk within the Accounts team at our founding company Crown Oil. In early 2015 he joined our growing team in Crown Gas & Power to progress his career within accountancy.
Tom has been able to develop his accounting experience, learning from the vastly experienced team within the Crown Group, by managing a number of different financial situations commonly occurring both internally and externally, from payments and billing to payroll and Broker commissions.
Tom has developed extensive Energy Industry knowledge and within the first few years of his accountancy career, he has developed into a valuable, intelligent and positive influence on the growth of our company.
Throughout Tom’s time at Crown, he has always had access to regular daily support from the entire senior management team across the Crown group. From support for his financial qualifications and exposure to a challenging, pressurised, but highly rewarding environment.
Within the accountancy team at Crown Gas & Power, whilst fitting in seamlessly to our family orientated growing nature; Tom’s ambition will enable him to fully qualify as a Chartered Accountant allowing him to take on further responsibilities as the company grows.
