This summer sees several members of the Crown Gas & Power team take part in two charity events for our two chosen company charities, Bury Hospice and Rochdale & District Mind.
June 17th, saw 24 members of the Crown Gas & Power team take part in the Color Obstacle Rush. ‘The funnest 5K on Earth’ a unique event combining the fun of colour powered runs and the thrill of an obstacle course, with the added atmosphere of a music festival.
The second summer charity event has 20 members of the Crown Gas & Power team signed up to take part in Tough Mudder. ‘Not your typical 5k run’ featuring 13 of Tough Mudder’s world-class obstacles; a jam-packed, team-orientated challenge sure to test everyone.
Tough Mudder – Rochdale & District Mind
Rochdale & District Mind is an independent Charity run by local people, for local people, they help anyone living in Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale who have mental health problems by psychological help, support groups, art, and creative sessions alongside their Compleat Café.
Bury Hospice provides palliative and end-of-life care to hundreds of residents and their families across Bury. Offering an Outreach Community Service and Bereavement Services to the people of Bury and surrounding communities for the last three decades.
Each donation made will go directly to the charities to enable them to continue their hard work and dedication to the local community.
