Four questions with Sales

We sat down with Stuart Batty, Senior Sales Account Manager, to find out more about his career to date and to see how it feels to be part of the ever growing Crown Gas & Power team.

How did you get into sales?

I started my first sales role about 16 years ago, working within the financial services industry. I just fancied giving it a go and even after all these years, I’ve never looked back. I love the fast paced nature of sales and still get the same buzz of making a sale to this day.

What three words would you use to describe your role and why?

Challenging, intense and rewarding.

Due to the ongoing energy crisis, the gas and electric markets are extremely volatile and often very tricky to navigate for suppliers, consultants and customers. We are currently in a very busy period and my colleagues and I are rapidly becoming expert plate spinners! Hard work is rewarded however, and you always get out what you put in. Nothing beats the positive feedback we receive from happy customers.

What stands out about Crown Gas & Power?

Our exceptional Customer Service team. We often receive great feedback from our consultants and customers alike and we have retained the top spot for nine months on Citizens Advice’s website as the number one non-domestic supplier for handling customer complaints, which is just incredible.

I’ve also always found Crown Gas & Power a great place to work and the people here are fantastic!

You can only eat one biscuit for the rest of your life, which are you choosing?

This is tough one, however I think I would have to say Jaffa Cakes. ‘But are they really a biscuit?’ I hear you ask… They are always on the biscuit aisle, so I’d say so!
