Retail Trade Administrator

The role

The continued growth of Crown Gas & Power has created a requirement for a Retail Trade Administrator to support the activities of the trading desk. The trading desk is a fast paced environment that requires dedication and attention to detail at all times.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Portfolio optimisation – checking gas consumption of customers and taking corrective action
  • Running our demand forecast model at agreed intervals
  • Loading composite weather variables (CWVs) into our demand forecast daily
  • Green gas position management – processing consumption information
  • Producing green gas certificates for biogas consumers to display at their premises
  • Market Report data processing and commentary writing
  • Processing trade confirmations through the trade settlement process
  • Trade Entry into our deal capture system
  • AMR / Read Requests
  • Administering diarised tasks from our demand forecast
  • Sales contract validation and processing through the sales and trading systems
  • Supporting the trading team with their day-to-day tasks
  • Position reporting for counterparties and internal stakeholders
  • Pricing data collection and updates
  • Adhoc reports and tasks

Qualifications & education requirements:

Candidates will be required to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook and purpose-built, in-house systems on a daily basis and therefore must have experience using each of these programs (with the exception of any in-house systems)

Preferred skills:

  • Energy supplier experience advantageous
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confidence to challenge the status-quo, teams and their members
  • The ability to effectively self-manage competing priorities, workloads and deadlines in a challenging environment
  • The candidate must be able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach when presented with problems
  • Professional manner and a hunger to acquire knowledge independently using own initiative
